Get Your Professional Development Notes Organized: The Office of Head Start National Center on Cultural and Linguistic Responsiveness Noteworthy App 2.0

You’re at a great professional development workshop or conference. You’re learning a lot of valuable ideas and taking furious notes on the back of handouts or in your notebook. A few days later, you want to share your ideas with others but can’t find your notes anywhere! 

If this has ever happened to you, you’re not alone. But worry no more. The Office of Head Start National Center on Cultural and Linguistic Responsiveness (NCCLR) has developed the new NCCLR Noteworthy 2.0 app. The app lets you take and organize notes, plan action steps, and share with others what you learn at professional development events.

Using a four-step process, the NCCLR Noteworthy 2.0 app allows you to:

  • Note it! Record notes and reflect on workshop content
  • Plan it! Set workshop-related goals for yourself and your team
  • Share it! Email your notes, goals, and photos to yourself or others
  • Check it! Track your progress and receive reminder notices

The app is particularly helpful because it allows you to take photos at an event or a workshop (e.g., flip charts, displays, presentation slides) to improve your future work. The app also enables you to set goals based on what you’ve learned during the workshop or conference. Even more, the app will notify you 90 days after the event to help you track your progress on the goals you created for yourself and your team.
