At the National PTA Legislative Conference this month, HFRP Director, Heather Weiss, presented a research brief that makes the case that family involvement in education helps children get ready to enter school, promotes their school success, and prepares youth for college. The findings described in the brief are based on an in-depth review of the latest research published in peer-reviewed journals and of evaluated programs that link family involvement to student outcomes. Full-length documentation of the brief's findings will be available in the next few months.
