We have published two additional briefs in the Issues and Opportunities in Out-of-School Time Evaluation series. Brief 6, Moving Beyond the Barriers: Attracting and Sustaining Youth Participation in Out-of-School Time Programs, presents promising strategies to attract and sustain youth participation in out-of-school time (OST) programs. Brief 7, Understanding and Measuring Attendance in Out-of-School Time Programs, examines three indicators of youth attendance in OST programs—intensity, duration, and breadth—and offers a few different models for how youth's attendance can influence their outcomes. We also have posted two PowerPoint conference presentations on the same topics which are available for downloading. The next brief in this series—on promoting the quality of OST programs through professional development—will be published later this month.
